Vantage

After a long, windy ride through the military base we are sitting at the Vantage Riverside Resort waiting (or begging as the case may be) for either a police escort or a trailer ride across the Columbia River. We are doing well and trying to keep spirits up after our third day of waiting. The horses are being well-accepted by this little community and are loving all the affection. Although the days have been very hot for us (100F plus) the nights offer a cool wind and the tall trees are helping keep the horses out of the sun. We hope to cross the bridge today and continue our trek to Idaho.
